CoD: WW2 Mission 9 (Battle of the Bulge)
This is the only video game ending that ever scared me because all of this happened. It goes to show how destructive humanity is :(
It gives that it’s finally over feeling
На свету постоје две врсте људи, аттиљерац и мета.
Everything changed. WW2 and its outcome is the most pivotal point in human history. God help us
What did we gain? What did we lose?
This game was much more than a game. It is an accurate document what war is and always was. Pure terror and evil. This game is absolutely timeless and amazing and scary at the same time. This game open your eyes. There are no winner in a war. War is not a funny adventure, it is a total nightmare.
0:16 is the plane that nukes japan
El unico Carlos Duty que respetó la línea original No como Vanguard y Battlefield 5
Line from 11:06 "Ako umrem sada, kupite daire" is from song Daire from famous Serbian band Smak. Neat
Great way to end the game.
What I find interesting here, about WaW, is that this is the only Call of Duty that did not feature the western front of the Atlantic/European theater. It is also only one of two CoDs that didn't have a campaign mission taking place during Operations Overlord or Neptune. Just a fun thing to put out for Activision that they don't need historical landmark battles to draw us into a good war game.
*campaign intro* oh hoy im ready to fight some japs in this fun ww2 game *campaig ending*🌚
I'll never forget playing this when I was 13 years old. Such an incredible game that depicted the visceral horrors of war and the loss of humanity all sides experienced. And even after all that, when this cutscene ended, the horror was just beginning... What followed was an absolute mystery that would soon become a worldwide phenomenon. Nazi Zombies. I was the first one who beat the campaign at my school. Everyone else just played online. They thought I was crazy and lying but soon enough they realized the truth. 2008 was a crazy time...
The ending of Call of Duty: World at War, it's very bleak and rightfully so. The two bell tolls once the text (1:39) shows always made me think that symbolically, they were to represent the bombs used on Japan.
Notice how Macarthur'S name is in red line
ALL the people who spoke in that game had red names. You gonna infer Roebuck and Chernov were bad guys too?
9:26 "Jumala armahtaa. Minä en" Mahtava
3:18 Kei Nagase: Blaze just Crashed!
They should let schools play this cod game. It’s one of the most headfirst atmospheric depictions of World War Two EVER made and reminds you of the shear amount of blood spilled during this terrible but impactful period of history.
1:44 Uh…WRONG! It was WW1 dawg. They literally (white girl) used an insane amount of chemical weapons and it was waaaaay more brutal than WW2 ever could possibly have been…
Unit 731? Stalingrad? D Day? Eastern Front?
I know this is bait, but you cannot be anything but a bot to make such a false and idiotic statement. The difference between the brutal you say of WWI, and the deadly and destructive nature of WWII, was that WWI didn't start with soldiers occupying towns from within, or bombing cities from the beginning, or the use of eugenics to incarcerate- and later systemically kill- multiple groups of people. (The Jewish people are the ones we remember when we think of the Holocaust, but the physically and mentally disabled, non-white Europeans, "Gypsies", and anyone else the Axis powers chose to persecute were also put into concentration camps.) WWII affected everyone, everywhere, regardless of their neutrality or location in the war. If you didn't have troops from your country involved, chances are high that you still had battles take place in your country or territory. In 1924, the U.S. Department of War (now Department of Defense) totaled all killed, wounded, and missing by cause of WWI to be 59.5 million. WWII had 60 million *killed* alone. Adding the other factors into those casualty numbers dwarfs the total number of WWI casualties. So, no, WWI was not worse than WWII, but it was certainly fought over a less defensible reason.
I just show my little brother this game’s story and he had no idea just how horrific and bloody WW2 was. We watched this scene together and it made him feel empty
7:36 - 黄沙百战穿金甲,不破美帝终不还。 "This is actually two lines of a poem composed in the Song Dynasty. The original poem was something along the lines of "Clad in iron armour in these yellow sand dunes, we will not return to our homes until we break the <nomadic tribe>!", and in game they replace the nomadic tribe with 'American Imperialists'." From Reddit
1:25 the music in this part already says it. We know it's really not over yet
So if I didn’t beat the game then the Nuke wouldn’t of been dropped? Thats what it looks like
The music...It really hammers home that war is a solemn affair, and that its extremely brutal and no one really wins. I wish there was an official track of the music here released that was extended.
This was the moment Treyarch stepped up CoD into a much more grittier shooter. It was a huge step from CoD4 and yet they even made bigger steps with the BO series.
Can you feel nostalgic for a game that you never played before
This Has Started Call Of duty zombies 0:47
The bad guys won....Goy vey.....
really enjoy the conscript jokes and army references :D
This game was something else
All I felt at the end of this game was We didnt win No one won
And it is crazy that we enjoyed playing this game, and it can be hard to compare game to real life, but can you say not even 1 person had fun in the real war?
This was a fresh amount of new air that did something different from the Modern Warfare series. Ur not the hero.
60 million is a relatively tame assumption. Some historians consider the death toll to be around 80 million.

Am i the only one that gets goosebumps durring this scene?
Imagine if they allow you to fly the airplane and drop the fat man and little boy as final gameplay.
last 30 seconds gives me chills every time
6:56 "KAUNIS ON KUOLLA JOUKKOSI EESSÄ"
The last 2 sentences paired with the music gives me chills. This is easily the best WW2 video game ever made
Had soviet lost more mens USA would won entire world no communnist, no dicatorships
What about all the dictatorships the US backed after WW2 ?
6:55 "Til Valhall" Norwegian guy says better, though. This Swedish guy sounds like he is scared.
7:37 "Til Valhall!"
I can’t help but feel a deep irony to Mac Arthur’s speech. “A world founded upon faith and understand”. Look at what the nazis did to the Jews during the Holocaust and the period before that. “Give man and the fulfillment of his most cherished wish… of freedom, tolerance and justice” Where did that get you? 60 million dead in one single conflict
The last two slides of this game are truly the boldest words cod had ever uttered. Absolutely bone chilling, because while we do have a very romanticized outlook on World War 2, we cannot forget truly how bloody, how gruesome, how much absolute agony was thrown about. This was the bloodiest conflict we have fought in recent memory, and yet we are still living in the ripples of the aftermath
I wish they had made a mission where you were the one who pushed the button to drop the nuke and make it even more uncomfortable knowing what could happen in the present day
"60 million lives were lost as a result of World War II. It was the most deadliest and destructive conflict in human history." now think about the next one if it ever happens. Degenerate governments of the 21st century: "Yeah about that..."
One thing I remembered from Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried is that he mentions how it a war story ends with triumph and great virtue, then it’s not a true story. This game ends like a story, not by simply telling us “hey we won the Germans and Japanese lost, we’re the good guys”. When in here it shows that even though the war ended, it never changes all the lives lost during its reign
